It'd be a bit time-consuming for me to program the option to have different portraits though, because a small number of events in the game depend on the class of your character, and some of those assume that a particular class will be a particular gender.

Great game! I just wish players could select their portrait, no matter what class they are.

For example, I chose all of my abilities and was a 'Witch'. I don't mind that at all, but it would be nice if I could have the option of a male portrait.

This is a really fun system, I keep dying, though! Love the puns, too. If you ever need more artwork for story segments, I'd be happy to contribute some of mine!

Age of Fable has a lot less obvious 'quests' than many similar games.

If you keep playing it, you'll find that there are ways to successfully finish the game though.

Hi,

The 'last updated' and the message "Age of Fable is incomplete and under construction" aren't there any more because there are now no more unwritten bits (the ones which used to cause the God of Unfinished Things to appear and send you back to Karrakara).

I'm going to take a few weeks off from updating Age of Fable, until I get more feedback on what I should be working on. I'm also going to work on a new project (a printed sourcebook for games like D&D).

Question: What happened to Last updated? It used to say something like "last update: February 8th, 2010", but not any more.

I'm really impressed. It's a very good start. Amusing, unpredictable and varied. You need to keep it up, and make a plan to get it somewhere. Really really.
